"EEK!" Asha cried and looked up to see David throw his head back and laugh. She rubbed her butt where he pinched it in passing, heard a snicker from her side and saw Nick smiling.
"Everything alright?" Adam stepped out of the tent and approached the stump where she stood.
"Yeah, just David being David ." She grumbled. They had been making their way through a vast expanse of forest for the past week, and stopped for the night next to the river that they had been following. There were a few ruined temples along the way, and they stopped to investigate.
"Mind giving me a hand with something?" He asked, offering her his hand.
"Hey, Asha," Adam greeted her as she stepped out of the bag, "David! Asha's here!" He turned and called at the opening of the tent. Asha walked over to Adam's notebook to take a peek at what he was doing. It looked like he was sketching an idol of some kind. Next to his notes, there was a broken stone statue.
"Is that what you think it looked like?" Asha asked. Adam smiled at her.
"Yeah, I think it's pretty close at least. From what we can tell, its a fertility idol of some kind. See how it's belly is swollen, and the hips are exaggerated?" He pointed this out as he spoke. He always got a bit excited when talking about his work
Asha woke up shivering. She turned in her blankets and saw that she had rolled quite a ways from the warmth of Nick's neck. Carefully, so as to not unbundle herself, Asha scooted back over and huddled up just above his adams apple. The warmth rolling off of his skin felt amazing and she closed her eyes, hoping that sleep would come back. It didn't, but she didn't mind too much. She settled on listening to the dull beat of Nick's pulse and his slow, steady breaths.
Asha liked sleeping with Nick the best. Adam had a habit of drooling, and David snored all night. Nick was quiet, and didn't drool. *clink* Asha sat straight up, pulling

Dad, this is a...Friend G/T
I wouldn’t talk to him without a reasonably sized object between us… I wouldn’t let him touch me, let alone hold me. I wouldn’t even give him the chance to hurt me, accidentally or otherwise. I don’t want to put that pressure on any of us. But there’s something I know. He won’t hurt my father, he won’t… I have to believe that. It won’t matter how my dad talks to him. It won’t matter if he’ll insult Chris. It won’t matter if he calls him a ‘monster’. He is a patient person…he is…a person. And he is able to look at my father as another man. Not

-mild violence warning. Not gorey so I didn't think it was worth censoring. read description-
The night was cold when you were on after-storm watch. The fresh rain smell was long gone, but their noses were so frozen that Michael and Henry, the two men on watch, wouldn’t’ have been able to appreciate it anyway.
The younger man, Henry, was nearly falling asleep, so Michael told him to rest. He would be on extra alert and wake Henry when it was his turn. For many hours the night was completely silent.
In the distance Michael heard something. It was definitely the hard footsteps of an approaching giant. Just their luck. He nudged

Higher Ground Short: The Fallen Woman/ Lost Lady
Gather round young ones and I will tell you of The Fallen Woman.
Long ago this land was a primitive place, we lived off of what we could find and catch, always moving when food was picked gone or animals left. We quickly developed spears to catch animals more efficiently, we learned to sneak and lure. And we were at peace, us and the cloud dwellers, they didn't bother us, and we didn't bother them. We didn't see much of them, their land was out of reach of even the tallest mountains. Sometimes they would end up in our world, but they never stayed long, always moving. That is when we would see them, their massive figures traversing our land,
